Taking the slow road
Hi, I have a beat to hell strat and I want to pop in a humbucker for a change.

My friend has a Epiphone Casino. And I like the sound of the pickups in there.

Does anyone know what I could stick in there?

There's about 10 pickups I see for sale all about $80 to $120 and I have no idea what the diff is.

my beat strat has one p/u in the bridge pos. i think i'll keep so i'll pop this one in next to it in the mid pos. -j.

   Wow, I just read in MF catalog online that the Epi Casino has SINGLE coil p/u's. p-90's what's the deal? They sound so different. ha! So now what?

you could always get stock epiphone pickups and re-wire your guitar

Hey, I haven't hear that name for a while. I'll look it up. I don't mind cutting the guitar more. It's a real junker and that's why I'm experimenting with it. It was also run over by my car, and has a nice crack in the body, I had to remove the electronics. at this point, it has one of the original junky bridge pickups on a piece of the pickguard wired straight to the jack no switch or pots....

I was thinking of going cheap pickups, but they're reuseable and $20 more if it is a better sound is nada.

Funny thing about Bill Lawrence pickups, they are way less cost than anything else and leave the opposition for dead. They are magic.

Are they 2 people or 1? if it's one guy is it Billy or is it Larry? :p
