Major court battle between AMD and Intel ... restricting chip type manufacturing by AMD.

I've got a Behringer Xenyx 302. No compatibility issues on this thing so far, cheap as chips, and Reaper loves it more than Audacity ever did.

It's nice to see someone come to this site with the desire to learn it right and the understanding that you can't Have It Now, unlike so many other newbs who have the belief that they should be the next CLA with their recent purchase of a USB mic. Good for you, Frist!!!

LOL...USB mic, next CLA. (I don't even know what CLA is, but I'm sure it doesn't matter). I can forgive anyone for having faith in themselves, esp. if you're young, your life extends before you as a seemingly infinite space to do and be what you want...and that's how it should be. When you get the other side of 30 you realise it's not all that, and you'd better start taking some advice seriously before it's too late.

Thanks for your post, really appreciate it.

As near as I can tell, that's conjugated linoleic acid. Who ever they are, they're not exactly Lady Gaga.
You're right, frits. About 2 years ago, I had to put down my beloved cat Sputnik, who had been my best friend and roomate for twenty years. Of course, I did what any cat lover would do when it was over. I went to a shelter and adopted a couple of trouble-causing kittens. That got me to thinking, "How will it feel when they die?" And then I realized- with my risk groups, statistically, if those cats live as long as the last one, they'll bury me! Instead, I should be asking myself who will take care of my cats when I'm gone. All I have left is the life of a cat! Right there, I decided that while I still could, I'd better start hunting some mice. Life is like a VHS cassette. The closer you are to the end, the faster it goes.

The other side of 30? S,hit wait until 50 whacks you in the squash! It puts a smile on my face to see a "newcomer" asking the questions you're asking. No "how can I win a Grammy in 30 seconds with $197.53". There are alot of people who know a whole lot about recording. You came to a good place. The only thing I can add is Follow Your Ears.

I love this, even if I don't know how to respond.

I'm having a great time at 50!! :eek:

CLA is Chris Lorde Alge (sp??) grammy award winning engineer/producer.
USB is ... well, you know.
:)

Oh dear, does this thread need to go to Prime Time / Jenni's Place if it's deteriorating into a discussion about cats????

:confused::laughings:

Am not really 98 years young. I just feel that way ..... but I will never see 60 again.

And still having the time of my life!
