Thats what I think too. Getting better only comes with time and hard work during that time.
Just don't loose your edge of gifted creativity, getting caught up in the do's and don'ts, the right way/wrong way.
Your heartway is the right way. What is the joy, if you are famous or rich, and have no heart of accomplishment? Money and Fame only go so far on the satisfaction scale.
If you wait til YOU think you are good enough, and do not hear the sound of destiny, you just may miss your ride. And the Bus rarely comes your route again. It is a unending road of talents, with many whom are willing to jump on. I think your time is now. You are oozing with edge, talent, and hunger. Just always keep the wisdom within you, to not let your gift be destroyed by those lies of what a musician must do to be considered one. (Hard drugs, booze, etc) Okay JAZZ, now that you're getting 'the talk', fell free to kick my arse!!!

I can't help myself, it is the mommy in me.
You can definitely get better with practice and the time spent on honing your skills. I should have spent many more hrs on that myself. And the extra knowledge IS icing on the cake, or cool whip on your pie. Whichever you like best, maybe it is mustard on a hotdog! In your case, Shartisms on a geetar ???!!!!!
But the hunger and unfulfilment ARE the driving force behind an Artist. (I am sure you know these things already).
Show me a satisfied Artist, and I'll show you one that has lost their edge.
I awake each morning
Hungry for that edge
Instilled starvation
Soul anticipation
Heart of colaboration
With my song-filled head.

After this is posted, I am sure I will wonder why I wrote this....Oh well, I do that quite often. If I offend you, I'll post an apology thread in the CAVE.
