I have a G16S machine that was the latest production by FOSTEX and it used only one DOLBY S Chip.
It is not the card pictured in the Service Manual. The card in the Manual shows a White block to the
left on page 54 containg 3 Dolby Ic's CXA1415Q's.
This is not what I have.
I have the later production using the 1 Dolby S Chip CXA1417Q. That chip absolutely sounds wonderful
when the board has been recaped.
It's so good, I just want to leave it on always. Fostex made a big advancement there. Sounds like
WARM digital if that makes any sense.
The Card in the Manual is a 8251878 001 and the ones in my machine are 8251897 101.
Anyway, there are some small square black electrolytic caps on the board that for instance, read R10/16v.
Most of these little black caps just say what they mean as 1/16v. I am not used to this terminology on
caps so I need a manual to figure this out. And a Component location picture and a parts list would
also be great.
DOES ANYONE OUT THERE HAVE A COPY OF THIS BOARD I CAN OBTAIN A COPY OF?????????
