This track seems strangely familiar somehow. :laughings:

Looking forward to hearing kcearl turn it into a dubstep classic... :)
 
This is going well, I think. C'mon Jimmy, lean on Chater to give it some publicity... I want a new mix out of all this, at least... :D

What do you mean? Nobody is interested in remixing it? How many have downloaded the link? I could put a site wide announcement....
 
I've downloaded the tracks, but haven't had time to mix it yet. Hopefully tonight!

I don't know what you can do but something that will get everybody's attention, because the main idea is to help beginners to learn, but when I was new on here I never went further down the forum page than the mp3 mixing clinic. That's just me but I would never have noticed it then if it were up at the time.
 
I already posted my take in the other thread, but this appears to be the official location?

My mix and anything that had to do with it was removed from the other thread. I could download and remix it, but you already heard the issues I had with that.
 
It would be useful to get them all in one place (here, I assume) so you could get a bit of a discussion going. I've only heard Rokket's and VHS's mixes. I'll go have a look in the other thread and see if anyone else has done a mix that I've missed...
 
I downloaded it and it said zip archive not working i'll try again tommorow.
 
The more mixes of this I listen to, the less excited I am about the drums. They're just not a tone that I'm excited about. Plus, I had problems with hiss in the track. :(

I suppose they're midi though. I could have just replaced them if I wanted.

I think Rokket's is the best mix so far. This is still a contest, right? :D
 
Downloading now. Might give this a look tonight.

Is there any rule against adding stuff?
I haven't been tuned in to this.
 
Here's my first blitz at this. I took about an hour at this earlier and here's where I am now.



I'm actually pretty pleased so far, but there are definitely things I need to do.
I wanna spend some time at vocal automation and little bit more tuning for starters.


edit:The uber vocal reverb tail at the first chorus is temporary. :p

Welcome to the forums.

I hear some distortion coming through though, especially on the chorus vocals. Maybe you're pushing the levels a bit hard?
