true-eurt said:I listened and listened, when the drum track was first put with the vocals and keys. I thought it sounded a bit off, but the more I listened, the more I liked the sound. I like the off beat of the drum. But we can change it if you would prefer Rami. Your the drummer, and I want you to decide how you are to be heard.
I like the mix too. I am not that good on the keys, but obviously Gorty knows his AXE. And in most of the song, the keys and guitar share the front seat anyway. I would have to hear the piano brightened up in this mix, before I could decide which I liked the best. Maybe we can check it out, the same as the drums, if that is what you guys want to do.
In fact, I wish this 'songlet' was longer, so the lead could have been featured in a long solo wanking, and Dogs bass to get a little loosey goosey!!![]()
What I would like to change a bit, is Dogs bassline. He is the one pushed back in the mix. Bring him up just a bit more.
Once again guys, you did a fantastic job on this *songlet*. And I am forever grateful to you....TRUE![]()
Gorty, everything you say is true. Well put.GORTY said:I love this tune and are happy with the results when you consider how we got to where we did with how we did it!
I loved the involvement and if everyone is in agreement why don't we make this an example of what can be done to improve an already very emotional and moving piece of music created by a bunch of very talented individuals!
Gorty
I love you Guys (Not like that, if you know what I mean)

Will send the raw files to anybody that wants to try their turn at calming the storm about who is too fast or slow...to loud or soft etc. My files of True are the orginal piano & voice... with a track of RAMIs drums put where he suggested...I moved over a bit... I think it sounds in time........there is no fade out at the end for the drums......so that needs to be dealt with after the fix it party. I use Cubase SX 3 and that is what the format is. Let me know where to send the files. I can remove the drum track if needed......but anybody using Cubase can do the same and also move that drum RT or LF. Let me know.

As far as a mix, I think True can best judge what she want it to sound like. This tune rocked with just a piano, and vocals, so I would love to hear any version of it.

I just came for the song. I have no idea what is going on now.Gorty said:So who wants my guitar tracks?
And in what format?
I can mix my 3 guitar tracks and send that as a wav or send all 3 tracks in mp3!
Someone let me know!![]()
He will be out of town for a while.Dogman said:Well, unless Choctaw doesn't want to, I say we just give him the tracks, and let him work with True on the song. He did a good job on her original, and she could probably tell him easier than us what she wants. Does he live near you True?
Personally, I thought the bass was a bit too loud, but I mixed it that way to show her the bass. I think it killed the piano and drums. Luckily, the vocals are the center, and seemed to miss all the smashing of the Mp3...![]()
I will send a track to whomever needs one.

You want to just sit on it a bit? If one of you guys want to do it, I don't care. Dog? Gorty? I don't want to take up your time. Dog you said you had 40 projects going, and you do seem to have a lot out there now, so would you have the time Gorty? If not it is okay. I can wait. And if I did try and messed it up, we'll still have the original files on cubase because it automatically makes a copy when you download a file, that you work with and the original is safe. So if ya don't have time, send them all to me and I will try.![]()

Dogman said:True, I have plenty of time, so I can do it. I didn't know if Choctaw being near you might help. If not, I would GLADLY do this. It's a fun song, and I would expect input from everyone involved. Just ask Choctaw first. He helped you initially, and did a great job. You decide. Your project, woman....![]()
