I have a Mackie SDR2496 and i'm trying to get wav files from a session we did into the mackie. I put it into USB mass storage mode and drag the files from the session into a project audio files folder, yet they don't play.

anyone got any ideas?

thanks

have you tried opening a project on the Mackie first so that you have a file system that the Mackie recognizes? I believe then you have to import or manually place the newly transfered files into the project.

I created a new project on the internal drive. It creates a series of files assoc. with a project such as the initialization file, and the Audio Files folder. I figured i would drag the 24 wav files from the session into the audio files folder and be done. It seems though that i need to associated them with the project somehow and i don't get it.

I am not sure how to do it, but I would imagine that somehow you have to import each individual file into your project from the SDR software as well. It just seems to me that without doing that, the SDR would not know how to place each file. HAve you tried the forums over on Mackie's site? There is a pretty nice wealth of knowledge over there. I am sure they could help:)

that's my next avenue. The SDR has no GUI, it's all panel. Furthermore, when you put the SDR into what they call USB mass storage mode. It removes any user input on the SDR and makes it like a external drive attached to a PC. So it shows up as a removable drive, and within it, each project is a folder. within each project folder is a ini file i think, and an audio file folder.

it's quirky
