Mastering issue

I normally have no problem when mastering. Today I successfully mastered a project and got my WAV file. When I tried to do it again for an MP3 file it would not work. The screenshot shows "No output" when I tried to do the MP3 mastering. (I have done this quite often without a problem. I do separate mastering for WAV and MP3 files as I use a different ISRC code for each). As a quick test I successfully mastered another project without any issue. Any comments most welcome. Thanks, Brian

Hi Brian.
It's telling you that it can't create that file because the target drive, or path, doesn't exist, is unavailable, or is in use.

That probably means either your D: drive isn't mounted or a 'Guitar Man.wav' already exists and is open in another application.

You are absolutely correct ! I deleted the existing file and everything worked fine. Very many thanks, Brian

If it was just that the file existed, it would have a pop up telling you so and asking if you want to overwrite it. The problem was that the file was in use and locked up by some application. The times I’ve seen this was after I rendered a file with the “add to project” option enabled, then I tried to render the same project, but that project now uses that file, so…

You are correct. I did get the pop but it still did not work, despite telling it to override/replace it. When I deleted it, everything was fine. Many thanks, Brian
