I'm about to make a purchase of some aoustical foam to lessen the reverb in my basement that has 4 wall ssurrounded with insulation and drywall. Markertek seems to be fairly reasonably priced. Anyone with experience using their product before I buy.
Thanks,
Blake

That's what I have in my place. It's as good as other foam products but if I had known then what I know now I would've just gone with slat resonators and traps. I'll be doing that within the next year.

Allthough I use Auralex in a couple places only 2 on ceiling and 6 each integrated into the corner traps, I would say don't buy too much.
Hey track I just bagged up about 10- 2x2 panels and threw thm in the attic woo hoo!!! They were just smashed into corners and such, an attempt to cast them out of the way, but noooooo. It made a difference just being in the studio. Now all is better, not much but I hear it. HF are smooth, not dead.
I finished a slot resonator and a corner bass trap that I've been too lazy to finish. Finally got it done and its sweet.

Guess we both fell for it on foam bwaahhhh.

slat resonator

I fairly well understand the slot resonator concept. However, the drywall is alreay up in my home with the dimensions measuring 14' x 10'. I now need to quiet the room down and I figured that markertek was reasonably priced. I'd also plan on some traps in addition to the acoustical foam. My ceiling ia also unfinished in the basement so building a resonator seems as though it would be tough. Any comments?

You'd be better off buying some rigid fibreglass and covering it with fabric, it's cheaper and does a better job
