um, ev ms-802 and ev sentry 100a (the same speaker but without woodgrain) are totally different sounding than ns-10s.... sorry to disagree with the poster who said the opposite. ns-10s are harsh, bright, and lacking in low frequency output and extension but the low end is nice and tight. the ms-802 is a listener's speaker, much more even response than ns-10s, slightly less revealing though, and less tight bass, but much more of it and to a much lower bottom end limit. slight dip in the mids, but not much, and my favorite speakers in my studio. i also have yorkville 1i's or whatever the passives are called, sort of like ns-10s but with more bass and easier to listen to for extended periods, but still not my preferred listening speaker. I do mix on both though, otherwise my mixes are a little too mid-present from the slightly lower level of mids in my EVs.
great speakers, those evs, definitely get them from him. shouldn't be too expensive though, 802s are $300 max.
