If you post in the mp3\mixing clinic, review others material first if you expect to get reviewed.
It dosent matter if You dont know much about recording, just say what you like and dislike, you might learn to listen to music in a new found way.

and yes give dogman beers and lots of it.

A note on the clinic.....

It's a great place to go if you are looking for mix specific advice. If you just want a pat on the back cause you think your new song is cool....save yourself the bother, get some beer in and invite your friends round to compliment it instead.

Another pet hate of mine....

Don't just pass on heresay info you've picked up on here if you haven't used the gear or been in the situation yourself. Statements like "all behringer gear is crap" and "Soundblaster soundcards totaly suck" isn't very helpful to people. (Even although most behringer gear I've tried IS crap and ALL Soundblaster cards can be bettered at the same or even lower price point by dedicated recording cards) Keeping quiet when you don't know any better is as good as offering them an alternative to their choice if you have experience with said item.

Also....

Disregard anything posted by Scotsmen between midnight and 10 am on weekends (ok, some school nights too) :D :p

People who say things like, "people round here seem to like ..." or, "I've heard that xxx is good" should be ignored at all costs. Including me.

Also, don't listen to anything an Englishman says any day or night of the week ... they're mainly trying to jibe the Scots, not give good advice.

and when you find yourself in a thread being offered advice by both Scotsmen and Englishmen.....seek out the whereabouts of the closest Irishman and ask him. Chances are he won't know his arse from his elbow either but he'll make you laugh giving his opinion. :D

Well I had a fifty-fifty chance ... never mind. Hey, I hear Martin O'Neill's available again/still. And Chris Sutton might be free after Birmingham get shut of him at the end of the season?

I am the spankmeister, keeping all the Scotsmen, Englishmen, and Irishmen in line. I am the sharkretary!! :D :D :D

Apparently you shouldn't tell people not to smoke crack. They will give you a negative rep mark. And the Man-ginas that do it won't even have enough gumption to tell you who it was.

Viva Nancy Reagan!!!!!!!!!

(are you going to neg. rep me for that one too?)

And don't use crack!!

Don't work too hard trying to please ther people. They aren't above you. If they aren't happy with something you've said or if you didn't use the search function, boo-hoo. I don't mind answering the samwe questions again and again because I'm actually a nice person.

LMAO and you've been a member here how long? And how many posts?

Kudos to your attitude kid, but if you're posting here every day in 18 months time to the same newbie questions, I'll eat my cyber-hat.

It's ok for people like Harvey ... they can pick the interesting questions no-one else can answer. Spanners like you and me, well, let's just say we don't have such good material to work with. Oh, and just what exactly IS the best cracked software preamp with amp modelling multi-pattern large diaphragm tube condenser mic for under $300?? :)
