Dogman and 60's Come Together

Sounds pretty good but I think the low bass stuff is robbing the rest of it some. The mix sounds very distant to me.

The song is coming together nicely!! (pun intended)

I could handle a bit more of the tasty leads in there from Anfontan and Tim.
Just a personal preference. I might be saying that because I heard the first versions though :D

I didn't do all the work. You guys did! :)

I'm not real happy with the mix, so I'll be uploading all the mono tracks to an ftp that Ed set up for me a while back. That way he can go nuts mixing it all together! :D

Tim, ask Ed to get all the tracks to you so you can take a crack at mixing it also.

My ears are fried at this point! :( :D
 
I decided to try a vocal track and some backing vocals to the song-my snarling vocal seemed to fit it okay. The lead tracks are retracked but are pretty close to the first time, the song is on my soundclick as Come Together - take 2
 
Is the singer sucking in helium before he sings? I would strongly suggest redoing the vocals. They are weak. And the guitar solo is also in dire need of being redone.

I'm not sure if you're being facetious or not but I was only offering my opinion of the performance as opposed to just saying it was really good. If that's what you want, then "it's really good". Happy now? (but I would really redo those vocals).

I would have no problem linking a recording that I've done and would want honest criticism of it. I hope to have something soon.

Sorry you got the wrong impression - this had nothing to do with your comments about the song. I was just surprised by your choice of screen names. If you are a serious home musician, it's not reflected by your user name. However, if you are indeed serious, I welcome your music and look forward to your posts....just be ready for some razzing about your name....lol

Thanks. Sorry if I took it wrong. The name was just something I came up with on the spot. It's from an old joke about a smart fellow. But I have been known to let a few good ones rip! Thanks again. Oh, I thought the song was pretty good. I heard one good solo that didn't make it into the mix though. I thought that one was better. I'm sure that I'll get my share of razzing! My songs are nowhere near great.
 
Whoops, I didn't see Tim's post with guitar. I thought I was adding something that wasn't there yet. My bad. Btw, that "weak solo" comment was about my own. :p
