I have Cool Edit 2000 installed on an older machine which I used to use as my DAW.

It's a neat little program I like to dink around with and would like to install it on my current DAW.

Is there a way to do this? How could I transfer the program and unlock it on my new DAW?

Well, if you purchased the software originally, you could simply move the install file by CD or whatever method you choose, run it on the new PC, and insert your serial # to unlock it.

If you didn't purchase the software, go download a demo of Cool Edit in it's current form "Adobe Audition" and see what you think. http://www.adobe.com/products/audition/main.html

Thanks!

Yes, I did purchase it. Would I have received a CD? For some reason I seem to remember downloading from Syntrillium upon purchase.

Is there a way to get my original purchase info (serial etc.) from Adobe since they've purchased Syntrillium?

Adobe customer (not technica) service may be able to help you - that's your only hope. Here, I keep a text file (regularly backed up) with all the serial numbers of all the programs I have - essential really.

ozpeter,

Yep, I'm definitely wishing I'd done that...

The thing I like about CE2000 is the pitch function.
