I've got a Tascam M320, and I couldn't be happier with it. I do have a question for everyone with older consoles... What is your maintenance routine? I understand going through the board and calibrating it, the VU meters, etc. What do you do to prevent scratchy pots? How do you keep the faders slick? Etc. etc. Any insight on your routines would be great.
Take care!

I have a different mixer, but I just raise and lower every fader, then turn every pot once in a while. It may not do anything, but it seems like that would keep grit from building up.

As silly as this seems, I always make sure to keep it covered when I'm not using it. Nothing fancy, just a sheet.

No, not silly at all. I too keep all my recorders / mixers covered and would advise anyone to do the same. Yes, just a simple plastic covering. I think that and also regular use, will keep the console 'maintained', in top shape.

Obviously the above recommendations are based on a well performing mixer, in the first place and not one with problems.
