Compression with COoledit

For Cool Edit Pro, can anyone real off the settings for some of the most basic applications of the CEP compressor? (Such as the ratio, and threshold levels applying to vocals, bass guitar, drum etc..)

I think that would be hard to do. I don't think whether or not it is bass guitar, kick drum, or vocals will determine your threshhold and ratio, but more likely it will be the volume levels, EQ, type of mic, how steady your vocalist sings, spikes, etc. It would have to be on a case by case basis.

Yeh but everything that sounds different usually should have a different ATTACK setting. For example the attack on a snare and vocals are too very different thing indeed.
