What I said was in response to Mark mentioning me by name and our website, and the guy that I quoted was commenting on the pics on our site in response to Mark. Is that OT?

Sorry, it was a joke. The thread had gotten so far off topic with the "regime" and chinese missles crap that seeing your post which actually was back on topic came as a shock. No offence meant. :)

No problem, no offense taken. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't actually crossing any lines.

My English is poor .

The money that our government can earn from audio equipment trade is very very little . The biggest money is from drygoods, dress, basic industry and chemical trade . Don't worry about those mic from China , just reject the drygoods and dress .

I don't support our government . Of course we can be friend . But my English is poor , I just can say a little English .

Your English is very good. The only thing I know how to say in Chinese is "Good Morning" Ohio <--- I'm not sure about the spelling tho.

Please stay with us on this message board and help us grow and to learn much more. Thank you.

Danshi.

If you're still around (and you do appear to be) may I ask how far the major microphone companies in China are from getting their QC issues resolved?

Thank you .

Chinese "Good Morning" is "Zao Shang Hao" . Or just "Nee How" or "Hi" .

What is "how far" mean ? Is this mean "how long" ? Every company has different QC . I just know Shanghai's company . These QC are not carefully enough . For example , every Rode mic ( made in Australia ) has different number and the sign of QC man , but Chinese mic has not ( the number is stick on box but not on mic ) . Maybe at last these mic will be checked again by USA or Europe , I don't know .

But under the pressure of USA and Europe distributor , these company's QC is more and more carefully .

Can you please try to find out who were the engineers that designed the Studio Projects microphones?

It's good to have a new friend in China to help me know the truth about Chinese made microphones.

Thank you.

From memory, the SP C series were designed "in house" at PMI, which then left Alan Hyatt the task of finding a manufacturer who was willing and able to build mics to someone elses designs.............hence 797. The B series probably have Brent Casey's name on them.

Anyways DJL, you could always call Alan and ask him, at least then you might have some facts correct.

From the SE thread..............................

I don't know . The manufacture made Studio Projects is in Beijing . The manufacture made SE Electronic is in Shanghai . I live in Shanghai .

DJL, he has already answered you!!!

Alan told me he would not answer my questions, or I would be asking him a lot of questions. But now it looks like Alan may not of told us the whole story anyway. So I'm hoping danshi can find out or knows someone in China who can.

DJL,

As you know I disagree with your ongoing campaign. But I must commend you for keeping your good humor and, for the most part, a positive tone in your messages. This last one is something we all can agree on!

Thanks Fab, it is my hope we can all agree on world peace and I believe it begins with the people of world being friends.

Hello danshi,
And welcome to this forum.
Do we know you by another name as well? You seem to have a remarkable command of the English language, almost like an English speaking person that is pretending to speak in broken English. You don't understand the difference between "how long" and "how far" yet you completely understand the abbreviation QC as if you've used it all of your life. My compliments to you.
And you've registered here just today in time to post some intriguing information on this thread. How fortunate for us.
Welcome. I hope you stick around
with us even after this thread has gone to bed.

Rimshot, I must admit that did cross my mind too. Is there a way to check? danshi, with a subject as sensitive as this it is important that we know the truth... I hope you are not offended and understand how important this is to everyone. Thank you.

Rimshot , What is this mean ? I can't understand completely .

When I write in English , I must use a dictionary . So that I can write some words . But I can't understand some phrase . And I can learn from you all , for example , some one say "QC" , so I learn "QC" = quality control . And I can understand all audio language .

I seldom come to this BBS . Yesterday I see there are some topic about China , so I join in .

DJL , I don't know who is design Studio Projects . But the manufacture of Studio Projects , Beijing 797 , is the best and biggest mic company in China , they have best technic in China , they have the power to design various mic .

I don't know what you have stuck up your nose, and frankly, at the end of the day, all that really matters is whether people are getting value for their hard earned dollars, which according to popular opinion they are with SP mics.

As with any business, there are going to be things which don't need (for any number of reasons), to be out in the public domain............Alan at PMI, Larry at ADK or any other owner/manager has the right to only answer questions at their discretion. In most circumstances, who designed a specific mic is really irrevelant..............obviously there may be exceptions, but I doubt that SP qualifies as one.

If you really want to take a company to task over their deceptions, try RODE....................until very recent times, they had almost perfected the ability to avoid any question that would lead to the truth about their Chinese connections.

DJL, if you personally want to know this information, then fine, but continually pushing the issue here is unlikely to get you the answers and is becoming tiresome.

Oh...... and yes, I could ask Alan, but I don't see the need for that information.

Aus is right, DJL. And remember, if you want world peace, you've got to get along with Alan too! :)

danshi, I was under the impression that you knew for sure that 797 Audio designed the Studio Projects mic's... but, now I guess that means you don't know for sure that 797 Audio designed the Studio Projects mic's or not then. Thank you anyways.
