I don't usually do this, but I couldn't resist.
I was at MARS in Cincy last weekend, and on a clearance table was a Behringer ECM8000 on closeout for $25. I figured even if it totally sucked, I could get $25 of use on SOMETHING. When I got home I set out to do a little test by recording my acoustic guitar, which I have not been happy with lately.
I was very suprised.
I posted a new song in the MP3 clinic with the song that resulted from the test. After tracking the instruments, just for kicks, I recorded the vocals with the ECM8000. Again, I was very suprised with the results. I would never have thought of trying that mic if it hadn't happened to be in front of me. I guess just another lesson along the way. I think I'll try to find another and use them often.
