I think it's very touching that two grown males can form a bond with one another that transcends sexual expression and moves more in to the realm of genuine feelings, compassion, and respect for one another as individuals.

This is something that I feel you and your friend, JSkillz, seem to be developing, here, and I think it's great. Real, platonic love and admiration -- regardless of whether there is any actual physical or romantic involvement.

jeez i see no reason to give him any equipment. i think he should ask for some for christmas...or rob an old lady or whatever they do in brooklyn besides get a legal tax paying job. even at 14 i think it isnt in his best intrest to have much of anything that he hasnt earned in some way. i wouldn't consider robbing old ladies earning a living but then again i wasn't raised in brooklyn either....i would like a little education on new york....which one is worse....brooklyn or the bronx?

I think you're missing a very large detail here. The whole purpose of homerecording.com/bbs is to learn. Since I've been on here a few years, my recordings have gotten a whole lot better--to the point I can currently sustain myself by charging people my services. A learning experience, that's what this site is all about. If you search Jskillz's posts, you will none of them involve learning about recording. He is scum. He's asking people to give their gear to him. He's asking people to master his mixes. That's not what this website is about. You don't learn anything by having other people do it for you. That not only applies to recording, but life in general. This is why jskillz has to "hustle" (I doubt a hustler has time and the know how to use a computer) in the streets of brooklyn. He'll never get a real job because he'll never learn; he'll expect people to hand out the food stamps and welfare checks (essentially us the taxpayers doing the work for him).

Depends where ur at some parts of the bronx are badder then some parts of brooklyn ... but brooklyn is mostly black people and bronx is most hispanic people

If it was anyone else in this forum being flamed for what seemed to be asking a questions, I would have posted the same thing(maybe removing the age factor). I don't think anyone should be flamed for trying to learn or for asking a question. As Fenix pointed out I may have missed some info from previous posts that jskillz wrote giving me a better idea of his character and personality, and if I'm in the wrong here I have not problem admitting to that.
