BOSS Giga delay NOISE!!!

There is a noise that corresponds with the tempo on my giga delay.
It begins as a quiet "thud thud thud thud" (again~corresponding with the tempo) and slowly builds to a cacophonous noise that sounds like it's gonna blow the dustcaps off my speakers.

It only SEEMS to occur on certain settings/modes.


It does not occur on 1 of 4 presets, so I began re-programming the presets.
This seems a little...wrong

Defective unit?

Sounds like run away feedback-is the regeneration set too high? Maybe its a problem in the control itself for it.

I've never had the feedback above 12 o'clock. Besides, the knob position appears to have no control over the saved presets.

On most modes it seems to be the magical setpoint between acceptable and eardrum implosion.

After quickly reprogramming/writing 3 new presets, the problem isn't as prevalent. I just can't imagine why the factory presets (I did reset all factory defaults) would do this.
