Just scored a vintage Beyer M500N in box off eBay.
I found somewhere online that the N is short for DIN, but I'm not quite sure what DIN means.
Are there any sonic differences between this mic and the regular M500?
I have read about the Stephen Sank mod, and will most likely be going that route.
I'm not too sure of resale value, but the mic was $150 shipped. Seemed like a decent deal at the time, considering a few auctions over was Nady
Ribbon mic for $250.
If anyone has experience with this particular mic or understands wtf a DIN model is, please let me know.
Thanks, and cheers!
