Anyone know about the Joe Meek VC1?

Im currently using a VS880 with a Audio Technica 4060 tube mic and a Joe Meek VC3. Should I upgrade the VC3 to a VC1/VC1Q?

I just got the VC1Q. The Mic pre is smooth if not very detailed. You have much more control with this box than the VC3 - such as phase reverse, pad, EQ in/out switch, enhancer in/out switch.

It probably would make a difference to upgrade, but not a huge one.

the only reason i would upgrade to the vcq1 is if you using for vocals it looks like the v3 does not have the ehancer or the de-sser like the vcq1. When i use mine for anything else but vocals i have those effects turned off .
