Alesis and Tascam Sync Compatability?

Does anyone know if any of the Alesis Adat's are able to be synced to a Tascam DA-38 or DA-88 so that I can get 16 tracks or are they only able to be synced to other Alesis units?

There is an interface made by Tascam called the TADIF(?) ( I can't remember exactly) that does this! Check the Tascam or Sweetwater site and inquire! Hope this helps!....
