dmcs - California (bungle) is the most accessible, and the most beautiful. Save Disco Volante for last, and play it when you've been drinking.

Yup, good work, mofocult. I got mp3 working today, and decided to christen it with yer tune. Comments and questions:

* I don' hear no acoustic guitar. You bluff ol dobro, yes?

* A guy singing this tune produces the same wordplay as a Grateful Dead line: "I feel like a stranger."

* It goes deeper than a joke - you're onto something here. Drstawl joked about Tom Jones tunes, but don't just laugh. Years ago I saw a Barry Manilow TV special, and Ray Charles came on at one point and did a Barry Manilow song. For the first time in my life, I *liked* the song. Ray Charles made it sound good, made sense of it. There's something about someone from way beyond MOR doing MOR that's exciting.

* How'd you record this, using what?

Dobro: That was no joke.
Maybe if I had mentioned S8-N covers of Andy Williams, Englebert, Robert Goulet or (you said it not me) Manilow.....
Yes! A S8-N cover of Lola!

When I say "acoustic guitars" what I mean is electric guitars. Sorry about the confusion. I used CEP with my cheap-assed mics. Same setup as all of my other stuff. I processed it differently to try for a more respectable type sound.
You know, Doc... My Ex-girlfriend was a big Tom Jones fan and she always wanted me to do a cover of "Pussycat". I listened to it with a critical ear and He's all over the place in that song. I dont know if he is even aware what key it is supposed to be in... Spastic bastard. It would be hard to do that song justice without investing lots of time and effort in it.
I always thought that the ULTIMATE song for us to cover would be "Paradise by the dashboard light" but it would have to be a condensed version not to violate my 4 minute rule...

Pussycat, pussycat
You're delicious and so nutritious
And fun to chew
I love to nibble your sweet little
pussycat lips

MOTHER OF PEARL was that cool. S8-N that tune just made my M...F... day. Thanks. I also took your advice and downloaded WINAMP, better than what I had. I'm also able to spend time downloading mp3's, instead of trying to figure out my stupid computers problems for the past month. Now maybe I can enjoy listening to some music and recording again. I really like your vocals, guitar sound and the way you use your rectum.
One time for a month a few years back, I set up a tape recorder and whenever I or my roommates had a fart or burp coming, I would get the tape recorder fast, press record and place it by our mouths or asses. At the end of the month, I rewound it to the beginning and we listened to it. I remember not being able to stop laughing for quite a while.
Good music S8-N

I, too have a fart tape... I might burn an MP3 of it and post it for all to enjoy.

Whats the best way to mic a fart? Would an SM57 do a good job? I bet ya you could really put on some nice effects for a fart!

I have to say, that's rockin' - glad to see you're getting in touch with your feminine side. :)

Hey S8-N just heard the Natural song... hhahah... that's great. GREAT. Great mix what do you use to record your tracks? WHat kind of multitrack?

Everything was done in Cool Edit Pro... I'm trying to switch over to Vegas Pro... Anyone who knows where I can get a full version (cracked or otherwise) of Vegas Pro, let me know...

Note to the Dark Lord of Cthulu:

You might notice, I haven't been responding to most people's MP3 posts lately. That's nothing personal (especially in your case because you're very good and I even like you), but here are the top reasons:

1. many of the new "space" sites, and even MP3.com now I think, don't let you actually download anymore, you have to listen (right-clicking doesn't work, they force you to see another fricking ad page, when they work at all). The result is that I can thus only hear stuff on my stupit computer monitors, which aren't really fit for making pronouncements on people's work.

2. I feel guilty because I've downloaded quite a few songs in the past that were mentioned here (I have about 100 MB stored up) but I hadn't been on my music computer in so long that by the time I got around to hearing them, nobody was talking about them anymore (S2K's song was a fluke because it came up again and I happened to be able to download the new version with the lyrics).

Guilt is a major factor in how I operate. When I have all these good ideas and I want to do a lot of stuff, I get paralyzed and nothing happens. Sometimes I can break through this and just do a bunch of stuff. It may not be the stuff I had on the list, but things get done like crazy! Unfortunately they're almost totally random in that case.

3. I haven't even had time to write reviews of any of the tasty new programs I just got in, and haven't even had time to use half of them yet either! But I'm working my way through the list...

Man, you definitely have the heavy sound goin on. I thought I remember you saying a while back you had trouble getting a good low end in mixes? Sounds great through my monitors, about knocked me out of the chair.

Listened to naturalmix441 once last night and 1/2 of it the night before. Got out of bed this a.m. with the refrain "...you make me feel.." oozing from my brain and manifesting itself in a gutteral rendition as I walked on down the hall. And then again later. Haddatellya it got under my skin.
Yeaaahhhh!!!nice job!!!!!!!
