A song that makes me feel good

Very nice!!

I would love to hear this with a less processed (squashed) sound. I would also like to see the vox a little more upfront and fuller sounding.

I really like the song & the groove of it. It is a nice, fun to listen to, not to serious, feel good tune. The kind of stuff I have a hard time writing. I like it.

Also makes the keeper folder :D

Hey guys-

Thanks again.

I posted a second version of this..whenever nowhere comes back...that has more pronounced vocals, and some fun parts added in it:). I also layed a bit off the L1.

One thing to note about compression and loudness.

The guys who I have to send all my songs to, work in and with recording labels, so what I do (even these cruddy sounding demos) goes head to head against what other people are doing with more money in big studios. And since the thing of the day is, "louder is better", I have grown acustomed to that really loud mix sound. I guess it's just a product of what you get used to hearing. But I used to get "It's not loud enough" or "Its not big enough" all the time, before I sat in on all the mixing they do in those studios and picked up on alot of it. Now (thanks in part to the trusty L1, AND things like 8 rythem guitar tracks panned all over the place) I sit on top with the other stuff they hear.

Anyways, I'm not making excuses at all...just kind of explaining myself. :)

Thanks again!

I've been trying to access the song for an hour now but nowhereradio.com seems to be down.

Hey H2H, cool song. I agree with the various comments (I heard version 1). Acoustics sound great, gonna have to try that EQ, (I've got a Martin DM, too). Song really sounds like Ryan Adams.

Thanks for listening!

I'm sorry you think it sounds like Ryan adams though:(, as I consider him a no talent punk who 1. used a tragic event to acquire popularity, 2. tricked people who thought BRIAN Adams had come out with a new song, and 3. ripped off a BUOS tune in the process to make that New York song.

Sorry for the spout, just something we talk about at the shop ;)

Someone told me this sounds like Montgomery-Gentry's "Our Town" just now. I didn't realize it sounded so country. I guess trips to Nashville are starting to affect me :D

Truth is, the guitar in the chorus is pretty much Blessid Union's "I wanna Be There", but no one said anything about that.:)

I really like that song (My Town). In fact really like all Montgomery Gentry's stuff. I would say upon another listen to your song, there is a similar message and vibe to "My Town", but the sound is quite a bit different. But I would not have a hard time classifying this as Country :D.

If you come to Nashville again, give me a holar. :)

I think it has good potential for a good pop song. I am not too crazy about the vocals and it sounds like it has a major "smiley face' EQ over the whole mix, but a nice "southern" feel to me. I'm kinda getting an old "Poco" feel from it.
