Daniel was kind enough to scan and share some important info from his TASCAM 244 service manual. It was close enough for me to use in getting my 246 lined up. After 20 years it wasn’t too far off. I was able to tweak the levels and meters… probably better now than factory spec.

The 246 never ceases to amaze me. It has to be one of the best new equipment purchases I’ve ever made, and I really appreciate Daniel helping me get it back on track (no pun… really). :)

Thanks Tim and it was my pleasure! :)

Anything else you need from the manual, let me know. ;)

I have the entire 246 service manual, but...

I'm too much of a lazy-ass to scan and post! ;)

Heh, heh.

Yeah,... and more yet to come!............... ;)

Anyway, though I have the manual and know the insides of a Portastudio, (246: 10 pounds of shit in a 5 pound box),...

I also knew Beck could handle this on his own, DIY/analog-guerilla style!

Yo,... it almost goes without saying, but pls check my Soundclick page regularly. Music for days! Updates weekly! Hacked classics from end to end! Aaw, you know it!

Anyway, my sincere apologies to Beck for not stepping up. I am being a slouch in regard to projects, these days. ;)
