Uhhh.. what's 3/3 mean? I think you must mean 3/4, commonly referred to as waltz time. There's no such thing as a third note that gets one beat.

It's slinky, I like the mood.

You might want to correct that on your website (I don't think you can edit your initial post title here, can you?)

Not in normal music. But this is a very free place. If I want to write a song in Pi/7 time, who's to say I can't?

Go for it, Dr. S. Me, I'm writing a piece in 1/e using notes that have had a Lorentz transformation applied to their stems (but not the note-heads).

Finally got a chance to have a listen. Nice blues feel.

But it needs a bass line and some more development on the drums.

As to the meter I'd call it 12/8.

Nice Style, liked it.
The good Doc is correct, it is a slow 12/8, not 3/4. The bottom number in a time signature must be 1,2,4,8,16,32,64, etc. The top number is anything you wish. 15/16? Sure. A common one is two numbers on top, like 3+7/8.

Thanks for your corroboration DavidK!

You should hear the two tunes I've written in 98/4 and 105/4.

As well as a couple in 21/4 and 15/4.

I'll bet you're own of the few people in the country that could sight read this stuff.

Even though I still believe that there are logical interpretations for denominators other than multiples of 2 for time signatures.

That shit is best left to computers to perform. :)

Happy New Year!

Dr., the hardest I think I have ever played is 17/16. 15/4 is 15/16, YES did that in the Gates of Delirium, and it was fairly easy to get a grasp of, actually fun to play. 17/16 is a nightmare, no easy way to divide it.

A very happy New Years to you, my friend.

I actually wrote one in 17/16 as well. I called it Steppen Fetchit because it was a straight 16 beat funk thing that was stretched to 17. I's a coming boss!

13 and 19 are really hard to do as there's no reference plane to hold onto.

I wrote a song in 11/12

Well actually, I wrote a song after drinking 11 beers out of a 12 pack.

Does that count? ;)

Oh... cool tune, Bluesman. It would almost sound jazz oriented with a quicker beat and a jazzy bass line. I liked it alot!
