Hello,
Does anybody know of a hardware recorder suitable for replacing a Tascam MX-24. I know some one in need of one, and they don't want to use converters or to buy a 48 track equivalent.
Ith needs to have 24 ins and outs ADAT and 24 ins and outs on DB25
It has to have MIDI time code and SMPTE
These are necessary for the studios connectivity.
Anybody got any ideas for a replacement? it seems there are a lot of machines that partially meet the requirements, but none found with all of them.

Cheers
-Josh

No DB25 on it when I checked the specs.
Cheers for the reply anyway.

I second the Mackie SDR... solid piece, with everything you're looking for stock, (not additional cards)... Out of production so you'll have to go used, but it seems to be the most trouble free of the whole Mackie hard-drive recorder line
