my name is jo st esprit.
i write music.
i am trying to record my first album here in my mom's dining room on my computer.
my first recording was basically a trial experiment. but i think it did well enough for me to post on here....
i have lyrics and wrote vocal harmonies and melodies as well as an acapella breakdown (the string section is basically a guide track for the accapella)
since the inseption of this demo recording, i purchased professiona drum loop cd's to give me some real sounding drum loops that i can edit in different time signatures. (i love time signatures).
i basicaly have nothing mroe than a computer, a nice mic, an acousti and an electric guitar a cheap yamaha keyboard, and a medium p.a. system.
this is the demo recording as follows:

the song id called wither of seasons, but i have not yet bothered recording the vocals until i re record it with much better drums.
i would really like any feedback and would be greatly appreciative.
onc i finish mixing i will post new recordings with better drums when available...
i appreciate it so much, thank you.
oh by the way , i use cool edit.

Kind of a collage of guitar sounds changing phrase by phrase, which are generally very rich and well balanced IMO. (trying to ignore the fake drums...) The meter changes make the chain of phrases interesting. (grimacing, trying to ignore the fake drums...) Mix is a bit heavy in the low mid's at 6:00. (sorry, the fake drums are making me crazy, got to stop here  )

Lots of potential with a vocal and getting some good sounding drums in there.

thank you for your feedback... that is why i never even bothered recording the vocals for this recording because of the repiticious and monotnous drum loop that i edited to fit the time signatures. it is basically a click track or a metronome.

i have since been able to obtain very very nice drums loops to use and edit for this project.

thank you for your feedback and critique...i do greatly appreciate it...thank you.

p.s. i listened to your improvisation track...i am highly impressed...i love the direction of the lead. quite nice...ethnic, yet modern... very nice ...i will have to check some more of your tunes out later.
