I'm looking to upgrade from VST/32 (5.0) to SX - can songs recorded/mixed in VST be opened in SX? I know that it's not back-compatible....(ie. VST/32 songs cannot be opened in earlier versions)

I've been looking at getting one of these 2 interfaces and was pretty much decided on the 828 - for the sole reason of 10 inputs vs. 8 for the firestation (firestation's preamp'd inputs take the place of 2 of the 8 ins if they are used; 828's preamp'd inputs can be used in addition to the 8ins)...

I fired up my pair of AKG240 cans last night...and to my surprise the right speaker was not working at all.... I'm not sure what happened - the cans haven't been jolted/jostled or mishandled in any way. I purchase these cans in March 2001 - so they are no longer covered under the 1 year...
