It's been acting out weird; it's off-tune, meaning that when I play a C-note on the keyboard, the computer recieves a totally different note. Likewise with the rest of the notes.
I had faced this problem before by just plugging out/in and it had done the trick. Now it wont.
Any solution?
Before my comp got screwed up by a nasty virus, my Cubase SX3 worked perfectly fine with my Saffire Focusrite.
However, after I finished re-installing my Window XP, it worked fine...for awhile.
It seems that my Saffire is not connected to my comp, but I doubt it. I can cleary see that signals...
Since my labtop does not have Firewire inputs, I needed to buy a Firewire Adapter to connect via PCI card in labtop. However, I found two similar Firewire adapter, yet a huge difference price.
Theres this one :Q-Stor Firewire
and there's this one: Dynex Firewire
What is the difference?
Anyone tried it before? For the looks of it, it looks killer.
If anyone has it, would not mind posting a picture? I want to see in a person's photo rather from the net.
Thx in adv
Hi, I just bought myself a Dr 670 today and so far, it's great.
However, Im having trouble of taking out the bass part. I just need the drum itself.
Anyone?
So today, I went to GC. Orignally, I wanted to get Lexicon Omega Studio, since it's a USB. However, my bro called me and he said I actually had Firewire the whole time!
That being said, that completly changed the whole plan. I asked the salesperson what Interface I should get (A audio/midi...
Allright so I did some research about interfaces. Since I'm going to use a laptop and wont be needing to use more than 2 tracks at the same time, I’m gonna go with a USB connection (either way, I don’t have a Fire wire on my comp)
Anyway I'm still looking for an Audio/MIDI interface. I narrowed...
As the title says, I been looking for a Audio/Interface that suits me for my solo project (a USB connection would be fine, since I'm not going to record more than 2 tracks)
I been looking at Tascam US 122 and Behringer BCA2000.
But many of reviews I've read said they arent realiable and wont...
Is it neccesary for me to connect a Synth with MIDI I/O and a drum machine to a MIDI Interface, in order for me to have some Drum Sequencing?
Or just the Drum itself?
Hi there. As the title says, I need some suggestions. Since I cant really find good bandmates where I live, I decided that I should do a solo band instead. So I need some suggestions what would I need to make music. Since Im a guitar player, I would need some MIDI sequencing and drum machines...
My bro told me that there's no way I could change the soundcard for my laptop...so I was wondering if the soundcard really have a big impact on the overall sound. Is there way beside changing the sound card to get a decent sound? Thx in adv
For awhile, I been using Kristal and Audacity as my recording programs... but lately, I think I'm ready for the next level. What you would guys recommend me for a well-rookie recording program, between the range 100$ to 200$? Thx in adv
Hi, Im using a IBM Labtop, which has:
-a processor of 1200Mhz
-248 MB of RAM

I beielve that this labtop can do a fairly job for my home studio. Now back to my question, if I decide that I should buy a powered speakers, how would I connect it to my comp? This my theory...

Im thinkin to buy this because since im into recording, I might as well get something that will keep me recording with my guitar. But if you think there are better audio interfaces, please, suggest them. thx in adv
Basically after I purchase a MIDI interface for my Casio Ctk-630 to my labtop, all I need is a MIDI software. I would appreciate if someone suggest a good program, but I prefer a free demo or affordable. Thx in adv
Hi, right now I have better understanding on how MIDI works and how it gets it signals, etc. I have a Casio CTK-630 and its pretty crappy, but I'll use it anyway since it has a MIDI in/out put. I'm using a labtop to record my musics and since it doesnt have a soundcard, I guess I need to buy a...
When I bought my comp, it came with a cheap mic and it appears it was cheap indeed. So i guess now I need to buy a better mic. However, I only need an mic for recording my acoustic. Would I need to buy those mic at samash or guitar center with Mic Cable and then buying a Direct Box to connect...
Everytime when I record something thru the comp (Guitar-->Amp>Comp or Guitar--->Mic>Comp), it doesnt have the right time to record it. For instance, the 1st track I used to record was mainly riff. On the second 2nd track, I used it for just messing around with solos, but it gets the signal 2...
Hey does anyone use Audacity or even heard it? Its a recording program and its free. Its pretty good and all that, but comparing with Cakewalk is another story...Anyway, I need help on Audacity so I hope someone in this forum have used it before
Hi, as for using recording programs, I use Audacity and Sony Soundforge. Now, here's how I record with my guitar: Guitar--->effect board--->amp(line out)--->labtop. I use a adapter that connect 1/4 to 1/8. I get a signal thru this path with using both of these programs, however, I dont know...
