Presonus Digitube?
Anyone messed with one of these? I was looking at it as an alternative to the ART DI/O for a single-channel fix for $249 - especially since the 8-channel version is only $1300 when I upgrade later.
I realised suddenly that asking for advice about good quality A/D converters on gm's forum was basically asking to be teased with stuff I'm a long way from being able to afford - so what do you all think? Best bang for the buck in a sub-$1000 A/D converter?
One of my local dealers is going to start carrying both AKG and Rode LD condensors, and possibly Studio Projects and Marshall Electronics as well. I'm geeked, because the sales manager and I have a longstanding relationship which has survived him moving from dealer to dealer in the local area...
Take a look at http://www.liftware.com
Tell me. Are they performing the same valuable service as Behringer by bringing "affordable" copies of expensive software?
I just want to hear the blow-by-blow of any and all experiences with Bellari gear. I have my own opinions of their stuff, and I've read many a review on it, but I'd like to hear what any of you might think, based on your personal experiences with it.
Do you have a clean recording setup?
Do you have a lot of patience for monotonous tasks?
Do you have an extremely fine touch and consistent playing technique on your instrument?
Do you have a broadband connection (or a great deal of patience and a 56k?)
If so, I need you for a recording project...
I'll try this one again - anyone ever heard of Cortley acoustic guitars? I searched through a couple of links given on the last thread and came up empty - I have to wonder if this company is still in business or not, but I'd love to get my hands on another one of these...
Sorry for the disturbance, but that thread about guitars we learned on brought back fond memories of an acoustic guitar I bought at age 18 - $150 used with a hardshell case - it was called a "Cortley" (not a Cort) steel string - beautiful little number with MOP inlays, smooth action, and a sweet...
I live in a small town that is exactly 50 miles from NOWHERE, so I have to buy gear online (because the local shops don't carry "boutique" gear like Hughes&Kettner (love the RedBox), Rode, etc.
So, I need to know (without slushing through page after page) - who's got the best deals on a...
1) Is it completely impossible for me to get a footswitch for this monster? I love the amp, but...
2) I'd like to hear some suggestions about speakers for it. I'm leaning toward a pair of Carvin 12's - but I'm open to being swayed.
No, I'm not offering an opinion - I'm looking for one. I've heard great things about a lot of different large-diaphragm condensors in this price range, so I figured I'd see about getting the lot of you to convince me into a particular model.
I need a unit that is going to be accurate and clean...
