    This Equalizer picture...

Does anyone know how I can make similar sharp roll-off at 16000 Hz like in this pic? I know Sound Forge has 3 different eq's but I can't get the result like in this pic... I've tried all them with different settings but it just doesn't work... I don't want "smooth" roll-offs but a sharp like in...

    EQ roll-off?

Heya Ok, so I'm mastering my final mix. I usually add a roll-off from 40Hz and another one starting from 16 Khz(ish). When I look at the similar commercial tracks I've noticed that almost all of them have the high-end roll-off starting from around 15 700 Hz. Is this like a "standard" or have I...

    A question about mp3s

What exactly happens in the wave to mp3 convertion which enables such a huge difference in the file size? I would assume some frequencies (which?) are cut down somehow or something... but how is it possible that it still sounds "the same" to the average listener? Thanks CZ

What's the difference between Rave and Hardcore? Anyone know?

I want to expand my knowledge..I know that Hardcore usually is fast, moves around 160-190 bpm with banging kicks + repetitive and hard melodies. I also know that Rave can be fast with some similarities.. but what I really want to know how they are separated "officially"... and possibly how...
