I liked the Spider IV for about a week then it just didn't do anything for me anymore. The stories I ignored about them being sterile were true and I tried many different guitars and the thing was glitchy if you turn the overdrive up to high.

I listened to the second mix. The lower range is a bit weak. The vox were slightly dry maybe add a touch of delay. You might want to double the vocal tracks and offset the second one by .020 or something like that and adjust the levels. It will give the vocals more width and some chorusing...

The drums do sound great. I can't hear the bass much but I think the keys drown it out at times. The vocals sound a lot like Vovoid. Nice keyboard work. I think you could do a lot with this tune. I am a fan of Prog rock. Some shred gtr in there would do wonders for this tune.

I usually stereo mic it with sm57's and then add some chorus from my Mackie mixer board effects. It seems to work. I think the key is 2 mics and find the spots that give you the width and depth.
