It's a multitrack recording that was put on to reel to reel. I don't think the multitrack tape exists. I am thinking it could be put out like this, but maybe with something over the top - kind of like listening to someone listening to an artifact and playing along with it. Not sure...

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure about the scraping either, but one of the instruments I replaced was an Optigan, which is a kind of film sampler and sounds like vinyl, so when i took it away I missed the crackle and decided to add the crackle from a toy record player. M
