song made with toys

I was recently asked to submit a song for a toy instrument compilation, so I took an old song and replaced all the sounds with toys. I've been working with toys for a long time, but I usually mix them with real grown up instruments. This is the first song I've made with purely toys. I think with careful mixing, there are some great sounds to be had from cheap casios etc.

The scraping noise that you had going throughout the whole thing didn't really do anything for me.

Otherwise, it seemed solid.

I thought you did a great job with this. I've used some toy instruments here and there, but this is like total toy immersion. Well done.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure about the scraping either, but one of the instruments I replaced was an Optigan, which is a kind of film sampler and sounds like vinyl, so when i took it away I missed the crackle and decided to add the crackle from a toy record player.

Charming piece. Always good to hear a creative approach. It's beautifully clear and balanced instrumentally.

Very expressive voice. Nice pitch control. There's sibilance on most s's and some t's, and I'm listening on very mellow speakers.

I'd chop off the first 10 seconds.
