At the oment i am using the Soundcraft Ghost pres and the focusrites in my digi 002. Ive got 5 grand im looking to spend for 8 channels of mic pres. i want to get a diverse selection of different pres.. heres what im thinkin 2 - UA 6176 - about 3600 used...keep in mind i put aside compressor...

Has anyone used this mic in sessions? im looking into it for a vocal mic nd maybae acoustics, ambiance. Any feedback would be cool...also is it worth a little extra for a U87 or equivelent?

Well i just got my 20,000 dollar loan from the bank and now its time to buy gear.. So heres where im at right now. Im running a G5 through a 002 and mixing with the Soundcraft Ghost. The studio im building is in my basement, there is a drum room, a vocal room and the control room. As for mics...
