thanks ..... I'm pretty happy with it.
As for doing one ...... really, it was basically like assembling IKEA furniture ...... ok, that's an exaggeration ..... but it is mostly just screwing parts to other parts.
All the hard stuff like painting and frets and such are all done for ya'.
You'll have to learn about truss rods 'cause you're almost surely gonna have to adjust that ..... and you're gonna want some nut/fret files.
And the soldering is pretty basic too .... you can get a pre-wired harness with all the pots and everything already soldered and you just end up with a few wires to solder.

I did do a full scale shielding job on it but I found that copper tape easy to solder to .... you can definitely do this ....... may as well start researching your parts!

They all sound okay to me. The effect is subtle. The delay sounds good. If it's just for recording effects there's not much reason to build a big ol pedalboard.
 
Thanks for the listen & comments on my effects dude...Subtle is exactly what I was looking for...I do like the stereo effect some of the delays I have put on my tracks, but I have to be careful so I don't get too carried away, & kill the core tone of my guitars...lol...

I liked the dry the best. If it were me, I'd likely only add a small amount of Small-to-Medium reverb. Depends on the mix, but I generally don't like a lot of time-based effects.

Tone sounded good. But I'm liking your beefier/woofier tones a little better. Personal taste thing, but it was a bit thin to me. Not horrible, of course. I'm finding that I just like a little more woof.
 
Speaking of tone.... I just ordered this baby a few minutes ago. I played one already and can assure you that it definitely has some sweet tones! Can't wait for next week! LOL!:guitar:

Any idea why it's so cheap? The seller says it's 100% working confidtion with a few usual dings on the body.

Thanks for the listen(s) on my tones w/fx....I'm not big into fx really, although I do like delay on some of my lead guitar stuff, & I always put a little 'verb on my guitar tracks, but only a little...Most of the time, you won't even notice it, which is how it's supposed to be???



Schwarz: Probably because it's an Epiphone dude....Only thing I know to tell you is to go try it out if you're interested in it....
 
I'm assuming you run your delay in the loop of your amps (that have one anyway), right Greg??? Been watching some vids of the Flashback delay, looks pretty damn cool dude....Although I can probably mimic anything that pedal would do with my daw fx, it'd still be pretty cool to have one...

What's your favorite setting/type on that pedal dude???

Yup, delay in the fx loop. I'm sorry to say I don't have a favorite setting for the delay. I barely even use it. I play around with it, but I never actually use it. It does some amazing things though, and it's a looper if you wanna use it like that. As little as I use it, it's pretty much always on "tape" or "analog" settings. Usually just a quick faint repeat and that's it. I don't like a bunch liquid long wank delay. I'm not Steve Vai. I like women. :D

Sometimes for surfy stuff I'll switch it to slapback. On the slapback setting, you can get some cool ass rockabilly type delay and it'll do a nice spring reverb kind of sound.
