thanks ..... I'm pretty happy with it.Nice looking & sounding guitar Lt. Bob. I hadn't noticed the squared off bit for the jack plug before.
I wish I had the skills to put something together. maybe, when I retire in 30 months, I'll be able to learn the skills required to solder properly to start with.
As for doing one ...... really, it was basically like assembling IKEA furniture ...... ok, that's an exaggeration ..... but it is mostly just screwing parts to other parts.
All the hard stuff like painting and frets and such are all done for ya'.
You'll have to learn about truss rods 'cause you're almost surely gonna have to adjust that ..... and you're gonna want some nut/fret files.
And the soldering is pretty basic too .... you can get a pre-wired harness with all the pots and everything already soldered and you just end up with a few wires to solder.
I did do a full scale shielding job on it but I found that copper tape easy to solder to .... you can definitely do this ....... may as well start researching your parts!
