I'm in the middle of trying to do away with tv here for that very reason ..... maybe I'd start listening again if the vegamatic was gone.
It's hard because there's a lot of stuff I like but it keeps you on the couch.

I used to love listening to music and I get stuff done while doing so but I'm also guilty of not listening in quite a while despite my killer collection.

I could never get rid of my TV. Not during football season anyway. The rest of the year, yeah, I could do without it. :D

Cool albums Greg....FWIW, Ace is a big reason I wanted to play guitar all those years ago....I had all the KISS albums up until about "The Elder", & to me after that, they didn't matter anymore....lol...By that time I'd gotten into other stuff too (like VH, & the whole hair metal thing), but KISS & AC-DC are the reasons I picked up a guitar...

Should be settled into the new pad by the weekend...Slowly getting my shit moved, I took some more this morning, there's just not enough hours in the fuckin' day...Pretty excited about the new pad, only thing is the fuckin' payments....hahaha...but, eventually, it'll be mine...

Been a long fuckin' day for me, been going since about 8 this morning, time for a shower & some sleep...

lol ..... that's almost a pointy guitar!

I know! Lol but it's a classic. I think they came out in 1958 or something? They look like a 50s take on what the future would be.

Yeah but hows the new vaj? :D

I had Kiss Alive on cassette early after it's release but still preferred Hotter Than Hell. I have 4 stereos set up in the house - 2 with turntables.
I even have the new D'AccorD LP on vinyl.
The acoustic tapping man? Well, I know folk love tat stuff BUT it just seems the same as shredding to me.

I'm so glad that I didn't have money when I was a teenager. Else I'd have a Rhoads V. Thank goodness I don't have a Rhoads V :D

Don't get me wrong, I spent a couple of years of high school studying the tab book to Tribute instead of my school work. I still get a kick out of fumbling through some of those songs (can't play them nearly as well as when I was 14). I idolized that dude for at least a decade. But that's just a godawful looking guitar. At least the Gibby flying V has some old school class. I still don't think I'd want a flying V, although they do sound awesome...classic Gibson in a form that may actually rank lower than a Les Paul in difficulty to play sitting down :)

Yeah but hows the new vaj? :D

Actually, things are going pretty good between us dude, she's a good 'en (so far...lol), & has actually been helping me move, arrange, whatever at the new place....She's gonna keep her pad too, but I'm sure she'll be staying there with me quite a bit...I even gave her the "half-stack" test over the weekend, & so far, so good....I like her a lot, & she seems to like me too, as she keeps coming back....hahaha

I did fuck around with the Chupa for a couple hours this weekend, just trying out different settings, & I've found that if I leave the bright switches centered (off), that it makes it a much thicker, ballsy sounding amp....IMO, the bright switches add too much gain/top end that can't really be dialed out with the treble/presence knobs....The switches are great for low-volume playing though...

I wish I'd recorded some of the tones I was getting this weekend, even with the Bogner pedal ran through the Chupa at a semi-clean setting, it was just awesome sounding in the room....I'm finally "getting" it about that amp dude, & lovin' it more every time I play through it....

Maybe by this weekend, I'll have all my shit set up, & can record some toans...We'll see....

Yeah, but if you had it would be worth a few grand today.

Anyone that disrespects Randy Rhoads or his V guitar design, can only wish they could ever play as well as or sell as many records or fill the arenas that he did. Sorry, but this had to be said....

Oh yeah, on the V, I'd much rather have an Explorer than a V, but that's just me.....

That bloke on the acoustic was quite impressive and it sounded pretty good for something that is so show offy. I was kinda wondering how long it was going to go on for though "ok, I'm impressed, you can stop now"

I can't help quite liking old proper flying V Gibsons too. Although I prefer the through body strung ones. A mate of mine had one. I would never buy one though, way too impractical and I've not got enough money to buy everything that I quite like!!!

I am quite into collecting vinyl too. Mrs go to an unusual soundgarden 10 inch, collection of songs off the desk at sound check in the 90's. That should be interesting.

Here's some serious virtuouso pointy abuse. Listenable in places!!

Hey what model "Chupa" is yours?

It's a 50w Ceriatone Chupacabra....basically a hot-rodded plexi with an effects loop...Love it!!! I don't know how close it is to a real plexi/super lead, but for me, it kicks some serious ass....
