Master audio meter question

Hey everyone,

On the master L/R meter, there are always two sets of levels showing. One in the middle, and smaller ones on the sides. The smaller ones are always showing hotter levels than the one in the center. I've searched the manual for an explanation of this, but I can't find it.

Does anyone know what the purpose of these two different sets of meters are? Which ones are the definitive "Do not pass zero" ones for the purpose of avoiding clipping?

i dont know either. i looked through the manual and didnt see it explained.

Never though of it. Could it be that one is showing RMS and the other showing peak?

The one with 0 at the top of the scale is the one you don't want to exceed.
