Yeah the vocals are wacked with effects ... are you that bent on disguising your voice or was that truly where you wanted them?

yeah mixing thems definitely better, not sure the sounds are there yet...Ive got a thumper coming and I think I might have got it....anyway, one more then Ive got to mix th album before mastering...Im looking forward to it

no theyre meant to be like that...I dry voice sounds pretty odd in this stuff, and my dry voice sounds pretty odd anywhere lol

I meat the timing issues Rob mentioned...Ive spotted two that are kinda out but Im not hearing others yet

Oh I get it. Next project should include an out of time vocal on purpose!

Yeah Rob i struggled with them. I lined them up too quantized and they sounded like i was ahead of the tune so i moved them around to make them looser. Coz ive listened to it so much the fit in ti me, except for one or two words, is it them all or just some phrases? Can you be more detailed as i struggled with them Rob?

Right mate, I just listened back - I think it's that you're hanging on some of the syllables just a touch too long and need to lean into some of the phrases more. I think this has also had an impact on some of the lines starting a little early (maybe to compensate?)

I tried to pick out those that sound a little off time in the first verse:

From the moment you're born
On the day number one
They will know that you come yeah
Get their claws into you
Then they'll mould you in schools
And the media tools yeah
But it's OK
It doesn't matter anyway
Cos as long as you pray
Then you'll be a slave
From the cradle to the grave

Im going to book mark this and come back to it in a couple of weeks when Im mixing the album. Im not sure there much I can do about it as my vox abilities are pretty limited...I thought it was the second verse that was the problem lol

Vocals sound crazy - I like em. Nice strings that come in around 2:18 (or synth or whatever the hell that is )

great guitar at 3:26

The second verse seems to conflict with the drums to me for some reason.

Nice track dude, i like all the changes and shifts and stuff.

Robs offered to cover this one for me, im going to try to keep the same fx but he'll get the timing right

Great mix imho. As far as the kick, I would say I would love to hear a little sub added to the beat 1 kick hit. The others can stay light, but that hit on 'one' has to be felt. How about more of a drum eq change at about 4:10 all thru the 'skrillex' section? I would even dirty up the edits in that dirty synth section. I think part of the coolest effect of those synth lines is the non-linear edits. It seems random and easy, but alas, it is not! There is my .02.

Im not sure if Ill do much else...Im still pretty limited in my mixing abilities and Ive got a habit of fucking them up when I keep fiddling, this is prolly at the limit of my expertise for mixing or production

at the moment Im wrestling another mix half its size but because I wouldnt leave it alone, Im close to zeroing the faders and starting again
