I think you've listed some of the usual suspects for what you have asked for, except AT4040, which although maybe the best mic of the lot, I would not call "bright". The 4033 is a little bright, and might be a good choice. I own a Bluebird, and yes, it's bright, and a very useful mic. For what you asked for, the Bluebird should do very well. For less money, I would also look at AKG Perception 200. I often don't recommend it because it *is* a little bright, but if that's what you're looking for, it's a pretty good mic. I also like Rode NTK, which while a bit bright, would be an excellent choice for your stated needs.-Richie

thankkksss for ur suggestion , how about mxl 4000 ??

thank you !!!

You should also check out the rode K2, or the MXL V6...67g and the V69m.
I've gotten great results with all of these!

AT4040 is usually described as neutral, but I don't think I'd call my 4040 bright. Some like it on vox but, I like the 4040 best on acoustic guitar.

i thought they said V67 G is better for muddy and low voice ?

The V67G is relatively dark for one of the MXL mics. Mics like the 2001, 63, and 69M are bright mics, albeit somewhat shrill.

...you're referring to the stock mic...the mods clean up the V67's tonal range and add a very clear and smooth top end, very similar to the U87...even more impressive is the very tight and defined bottom end response...overall, the modifications take this mic to an entirely different level...if I hadn't heard one in my own studio, I would be hesitant to believe the difference...I ordered one shortly thereafter...you can hear a nice sample track posted in this thread:

If your voice is bright, usually the last thing you want to do is use a bright mic on top of that. Usually you want to do the opposite---thicken the vocals, e.g. with a good ribbon.

my thoughts exactly..... dont add a presence boost to a voice that is already bright and top heavy.
