Combo used as extension cab ?

I have an old Ampeg VT120 guitar amp that I'm wanting to use as an additional extension cab (It has a 120 watt, 8 ohm Celestion in it.), unfortunately it has only a 3 inch male 1/4 coming out of it from the speaker.

I've looked on MF and called most of the local music stores to see if they have any type of female to female adapter, but can't find something that's designated for this specific task (assuming that the additional juice would smoke a standard 1/4 to 1/4 mono instrument adapter).

Does such an animal exist, or how can I rig this???:confused:

I've done something similar with my roland jc120. I've done it a few ways.
Mostly using the stereo outs of a rack mounted fx module. Before I had that piece of crap I just went with a chorus pedal that had 2 outs for stereo. I've also got a DI that has dual outputs. I think my little tube compressor is dual output as well. Anywho, I just ran right into the amp front. I"ve also bypassed the front and just used the power amp section.

The other method I haven't actually tried yet is to take an aux send or buss out of a small mixer. I'm putting together a rig with multiple amps, rack gear, etc. and using a small mixer solves a host of problems for me routing multiple outs and multiple ins from different instruments.
 
go to radio SHack and buy you 2 female 1/4" jacks and some #14 WIre and pull out the old soldering iron and make it its a simple thru cable easy DIY. I have used my Peavey Stereo Chourus for a ext. cab many times with such cables it works just fine.
