Hey
I'm overwellmed with all your thoughts and offers to help. I am expecting to start sending the pay pal requests on friday. I have a somewhat slow week next week so I hope to get a lot done. The thing that is really slowing me down is the computer. I got a new hard drive, cloned it with CCC via FW, re booted from it, and there was no change. My thoughts now is the logic board.
Doubt it. Usually if a logic board is bad, the computer outright crashes or freezes and never recovers. Stalling is usually caused by a buggy process stealing CPU cycles or eating all the RAM (or simply not having enough RAM to begin with).
It is also remotely possible that your computer checked some of your RAM, it failed so badly that the computer didn't recognize it, and the computer disabled the bad banks. I actually saw that happen on a coworker's G5 last week. Of course, in his case, he only had one bank, so the computer wouldn't boot at all about 75% of the time, had filesystem corruption from the times when it did, etc. *sigh*
