Just placed a bid on a house with an unfinished basement with around 16 ft celings! Can't wait to see if we get it. It's got room for a very large live room, good sized control room, drum room and a vocal booth. Wahoo.
If we get it I'll be keeping you in the loop on construction.

Had to tell someone, It's gonna suck waiting for an answer, likely all weekend.

That's the best part though. I'me going to add at least 100k in value to the house finishing the basement. on tp of the basement sits two more full stories at 1000+ sq ft a peice, river view, two decks, etc.

Some guy with no skill tried to floor and tile the main floors him self and botched the job, then the house was repo'd so it's been sitting in a neighborhood of 1/2 million dollar houses for a couple years cause no one can get past the bad paint and flooring.

I am skilled enough to do that all my self if I want. but will likely draw equity and have most of it done.

Thanks guys. I'm like a kid Chistmas eve. Can't wait to get back in the house and get some plans going. Gonna have to guild in some soundproofing given the neighborhood. My next door neighbor is a general contractor who did all the research to build a band practice complex and studio a year ago so he knows where I am coming from on that type of stuff.

Thanks guys. It's a bit of a risk as we don't even have our current house for sale yet, but we'll have 18 months to sell it if things go as planned.
