Just got my first Mac, and I am running Cubase 5 using a Steinberg CI2 as the interface. Recorded fine but I can't seem to get any output sound. I am trying to route the sound to the built in speakers in my iMac. Any help would be much appreciated.

Wondering if there is a concensus on the forum about the best kick drum mike. Does not have to be a good all around mike, or capable of recording any other instruments...I have other mikes for those applications. So what is the general concensus?

How can I assign a channel on the 1884 to a different channel in Cubase for overdubbing? So if tracks 1-8 in Cubase are in use, how do I assign track 1 on the 1884 to correspond with track 9 in Cubase?

Ok,installed the latest edition of the software from Tascam (1.3) and connected my new 1884. Why is it not controlling Cubase? When I press play on the Tascam, the far right level display on the Cubase Transport Panel shows a level, but nothing else happens. Any ideas?
