System 4 HELP!

Sorry for the newbie question in advance.
The power light for my Cubase System 4 MI4 interface does not shut off even when I power down the computer. The computer is plugged into a UPS strip and I'm wondering if this will drain the battery back up? It does turn off if I unplug the USB cord from the back of the MI4...will I have to do this everytime I shut down?!?
As I said...sorry for the newbie question..

If it's only a LED, then I reckon even the most piss-weak UPS could power it for years.

Do you have an extra power switch on the back of your PC power supply? If you do, you could try switching it off.

Thanks Dazza. No extra switch, but it's a moot question. Am switching from the MI4 interface and powering up a Tascam 1884 Hopefully I'll be able to get it set up today.

It's the power coming through the USB connection. It will continue to feed signal/power to it even when the computer is turned off. If it bugs you just unplug the connector when you're not using it. It's not nurting anything electrical in any of your components.
