I had this posted over in the cave, but figured I'd move it over here and probably get a little more help.

I'm thinking about building a home made e-kit and wanted to get your guys' opinion on drum modules. Really, I'm not even going to...
Hi there, I've been using East West Orchestra for a while now, but had a question for you guys in regards to how you write your string parts. Do you guys just use general midi instrument to get the structure, then bypass the midi instruments after that's done, and route through whatever...

Your delay sound like it's because of an audio card that isn't designed for professional recording usage. If it came stock with your computer, most...
I don't know about other forms of media, but with recording music it's a good idea to have files that are being written constantly (like music projects) on a different drive. I'm not sure if saving your projects saved in the "My xxxx" really effects anything. It's possible it could, I think...
I'm just curious if anyone knows what the process to legally put a cover song on a CD is. I'm half way through with my project and was thinking about covering some songs from old video games just for the hell of it, but I don't want to end up getting sued or something. Don't you just have to...

Depending on how old it is, it might be worth it to get a more up to date laptop, or maybe look into the MUSE Receptor. I'm not 100% sure if it can handle sequencing apps, but it sounds pretty damn cool.
I'm sure by a lot of traditionalists it would be, I know I frowned upon it at one point...
64-bit processing if you have a 64-bit processor and a 64-bit operating system. Have fun finding 64-bit drivers though, it can be pain in the ass depending on what you have and how old it is. Might want to wait until Sonar 6 comes out in a few weeks.
I'm not sure what's currently going on because I just bought a processor a couple months ago, but usually AMD's out perform Intels of comparable features (Dual core 2.2Ghz for instance). Your best bet is to look up bench marks.
Yea, you could use your laptop monitor and attach another one to the video out if your laptop has one. The software might have a clone or extended desktop option. Other than that, you'd have to have a video card with a DVI and VGA out.
