I think it's a great review. I give myself an A-freakin-plus.
So anyway, Crazydoc, it might ease your mind a little bit to know that Moon Unit Sound used to be a former bandmate/co-worker and studio partner who has since changed the name of his little project studio from Moon Unit to "Project Funk," which is now just a little side-business (mostly publishing, I believe) of his since he moved to San Diego last year. I liked the old name, though, and asked if I could use it. So now, I'm Moon Unit Sound. Not that it's copywritten or anything . . . and not like Zappa couldn't come by and try and sue me at any time for it (which would be tough since I'm not even in the least bit profitable yet).

Sorry if we messed with your time-space continuum, doc.
And as for that B1 nonsense, I think we both did kind of did an about-face on that one after having the chance to play with it for a while. It really does suck. My bad. I still think the v67 sucks, and I'm sticking by it (for now), though I suppose I could always change my mind on that one. Honestly, though, I think a lot of people are missing the entire point of my little review. I make no pretense . . . that opinions are indeed like assholes, and mine is just another hairy, smelly one in the lot.
More than anything, I just wanted to do a writeup that was somewhat entertaining, and that breaks from the norm in terms of it's format.
And to make a very simple point: beware of hype. And consider your ears and personal taste to be the final judge over hype and propaganda. -- Including and especially that started by myself.
(I only wish Steve would have posted the photos! !

Those were sort of a hoot, in my humblest of opinions)
Anyway, I hope some of you got a kick out of the article at least. That's all it was intended for.
But doesn't anyone find it odd that I would so publically back a Studio Projects product like that?
