The Houston Guitar Center on Westheimer is moving locations next week, and they've got some demo stuff on sale - I picked up a pair of Yamaha HS50M monitors that were demos, but in good shape (for $150 for the pair) - I wasn't hurting for new monitors, but I heard these are a good second set.
Gak - my stuff sounds pretty bad through through them - I think I'll use them as an acid test for mixes (and apparently, my mixes could benefit from that
) - I'm not sure I could use them all the time.
Anyway, if you live in Houston (TX, USA), you might stop by that GC this week. The regular boxed stuff isn't really on sale, but there is some interesting demo stuff that they're letting go cheap.
