XY micstand

ok, not shure if "microphones" is the best section for this question.. none the less.

does anyone know a way to make an adapter to take one boom mic. stand and make it capable to hold 2 mics in XY fasion, (2 condenser "pencil" mics to be exact) without the use of alot of duct tape... thxs

This particular one is a little too expensive IMHO, I have several from different companies, the cheapest was less than $10. Any reasonably good sized music store should carry them.

Seriously. I heard a kid selling a keyboard and he was telling the customer about how XLR is an old connector style that is being phased out of newer gear because if has quality issues.

BTW, the criticism about the tilt-adjustment fastener is legit for heavier mics but it is easily and inexpensively addressed with a new screw/bolt and nut, if necessary.
